What is PB2110 (Polybutylene piping)  - From a Home Inspectors View

- Installed between 1978 and mid-1995

- Polybutylene pipes were too fragile to withstand common disinfectants found in the public water supply and will quickly become brittle and crack from the inside out. Over time it will wear out completely and rupture. PB pipe is most noticed by being light grey in color and usually stamped with the wording PB2110.
